Police in Radnor, Pennsylvania in the U.S. interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine. The message "He's lying" was placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth.
Believing the "lie detector" was working, the suspect confessed.

A group of Exeter students have been asked to write letters of apology to the BBC after they damaged a valuable photocopier being stored in their common room by makers of The One Show.
Students returned from a night out and began photocopying parts of their anatomy, including their faces, which resulted in damage to the photocopier. Those involved were recognised by photocopies of their faces left in the common room, and have been reprimanded for their actions by Exeter’s Junior Dean, Dr Rini Adriga.
According to one Exeter student, who wished to remain anonymous, “Basically what happened was, the BBC stupidly went and left a plugged-in photocopier with paper etc in our common room on a Wednesday night. Everyone went to Park End and got plastered and went back to the common room."
The student added, “People started photocopying their faces and other body parts but were too drunk to make sure they picked up all the copies of their faces."

It’s common to experience paper jams in an office photocopier, but could the strange rumbling inside come from a living creature?
For an unidentified York Region high school, the answer is “yessssss.”
On Monday afternoon, a Dekay’s brown snake was found poking its head out of the school copier.
A wildlife centre has created a new heated home for the snake to live until the weather warms up again in the spring.

This is a common problem, on several occasions I have needed to repair a photocopier damaged by mice. It is most common when the office is cold overnight and the copier is left on, hence the phrase "As snug as a mouse in a Konica Minolta Bizhub" (I made that bit up).
"Service manager Ed Brudzinski reports that, on more than one occasion, techs have found mice caught in photocopiers, which definitely will stop a machine. He says, “Printers are a bad way to catch mice".

On 8th February 2014 former Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd ended his political career.
The Australian Financial Review quoted a report by Dr Carmel Harrington on “presenteeism”.
Which said, Rudd exhibited all the classic hallmarks of sleep deprivation, such as irritability, indecision and being quick to anger.
“You can spot them a mile away because they are the ones who kick the photocopier when it doesn’t work,” she says.
So there you have it.
Photocopier kickers have no place in a civilised society, send them home!
